Nowadays, people are getting more and more insensitive to quotidian details, as they are faced with various media channels flooded with information.

However, a young artist Ma Mingze captured the ordinary but indispensable moments of everyday life with her sensible observations. This has become the centerpiece theme for her exhibition.

Her first solo exhibition, which consists of more than ten of her oil on canvas works, is now underway at Parkview Green Art in Beijing's 798 Art Zone.

Her exhibition is titled "Freeze a Moment", and according to the artist herself, it draws from the famous French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson's "decisive moment", comprising underlying truth in quotidian happenings, which are full of feelings or metaphorical senses.

With Kim Mi-Ryoung as academic director, whose research focuses on the history of contemporary art in Asia, this exhibition shows Ma's works of six years of devotion and offers an outline of her creative practices based on her observations of social events.

"Freeze a Moment", which highlights the otherwise elapsing moments that have been captured in art, will run from July 8 to August 20.
